A Timeless Love Story at All Saints Chapel
As a Raleigh wedding photographer, I’ve had the privilege of documenting love stories in some of the most charming venues across North Carolina, but there’s something truly special about photographing a wedding at All Saints Chapel. Nestled in the heart of downtown Raleigh, this historic venue is a dream backdrop for any couple seeking timeless elegance with a touch of vintage charm.
Walking into All Saints Chapel feels like stepping back in time. Originally built in 1875, this restored Gothic Revival chapel features soaring wooden ceilings, intricate stained-glass windows, and rich architectural details that make every angle photogenic. From a photographer’s standpoint, the natural light that pours through the chapel’s tall windows is nothing short of magical—soft, flattering, and perfect for creating romantic imagery. Additionally, outside of the Chapel photographs very well, allowing me to create timeless, bright photographs.
Weddings at All Saints Chapel Raleigh
The ceremony at All Saints Chapel is always an emotional experience. I witnessed and captured the couple exchanging vows beneath the wooden arch with sunlight streaming through the stained glass. The chapel’s symmetrical design allows for beautifully composed shots from nearly every angle.
After the ceremony, we stepped outside for portraits. The bright and airy look of the outside of the chapel aligns perfectly with what I am looking for to create classic and timeless portraits of the newlyweds. In addition, the surrounding greenery provides a perfect contrast to the historic white wood of the chapel. All Saints is located close to downtown Raleigh. If time allows, it’s possible to take a short walk for urban shots for an editorial photo feel.
Depending on the couple’s plans, receptions can be held at nearby venues, or even inside the chapel’s flexible event space.
