The Evening of Hope Gala is a charity event to raise awareness and support for mental health initiatives. The theme, “Imagine,” encouraged guests to envision a future where mental illness is not a barrier to living a fulfilling life.

Without a doubt the transformation of the Pavilion was breathtaking. Oversized, colorful paper flowers decorated the venue, and bold, vibrant tablecloths added a touch of whimsy. The lighting created an almost fairytale-like atmosphere, perfectly complementing the evening’s theme. In a particularly powerful visual touch, black-and-white portraits of youth were displayed throughout the space. They served as a poignant reminder of the importance of mental health advocacy.

Undoubtedly, the highlight of the evening was a chat with keynote speaker Dennis Quaid, an iconic actor and mental health activist. Dennis shared his personal story of overcoming addiction and optimizing his mental health. Celebrities sharing their mental health experiences can help reduce stigma, increase awareness, and inspire others to seek help. Adding to the night’s significance, country music star Scotty McCreery made a special appearance. He performed the National Anthem to kick off the event in a patriotic style.

Over 400 guests who attended the gala enjoyed an exquisite dinner prepared by the Angus Barn’s renowned culinary team. The auction, always a highlight at charity galas, offered a selection of exciting items and once-in-a-lifetime experiences, drawing enthusiastic bidding from attendees. Thanks to the incredible generosity of the Gala’s guests and sponsors, $1,150,000 was raised!
